The Star Trek U.S.S. Nog Starship is named after the character Nog from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. The character Nog, the very first Ferengi to join Starfleet, was played by Aron Eisenberg. When he passed in 2019, he was commemorated by his own ship class: the Eisenberg-class. Not only was the U.S.S. Nog named after the first Ferengi to join Starfleet, but it was at Starfleet headquarters when the U.S.S. Discovery re-joined the fleet.
The U.S.S. Nog Starship is a Eisenberg-class, which is a type of Federation starship that was in service in the 32nd century. Its design dates to the era before "the Burn," when most of the Galaxy’s dilithium was destroyed. Thus, the U.S.S. Nog Starship Figure was built with programmable matter and had detached nacelles that made it extremely manoeuvrable.
