A space probe launched from Earth in the early 21st century, the Star Trek Nomad prob, also known as the Nomad MK-15c, was humanity's first interstellar vessel. It was an aed spacecraft designed by Dr. Jackson Roykirk to seek out new life and develop its own, independent intelligence.
Yet when the Star Trek Nomad Probe encountered the alien probe Tan Ru in deep space, the two fused, creating a faulty artificial intelligence far removed from its original, peaceful mission. The probe became an engine of destruction, driven to destroy anything it perceived as “imperfect” – including most organic life.
