Tellar, also known as Tellarus or Miracht is the fifth planet in the Tellar system and has two moons. The planet is the home world of the Tellarites, who are co-founders of the United Federation of Planets. The surface of Tellar was known for its unusually dry and inactive climate, with most of the time being sunny in all locations. Due to the lack of surface water and low evaporation and precipitation, colder conditions prevail than on land. The main fleet of Starfleet intelligence is located on the planet, and the Federation's major building docks are in orbit.
