Bellatix IV, known locally as Trixia, is the fourth planet in the Bellatrix system. The system is located just 50 ly both from the border with the Tholian Assembly and from the border with Gorn Hegemony, and less than 100 ly from the borders of the Klingon Empire. The planet was first settled in 2276 and then became an independent member of the UFP in 2306. There are very rich deposits of dilithium crystals on the planet. Intense war and mining activities have caused loud resistance against the federation, and the separatist movement is an active part of planetary policy. To further strengthen the federation's influence in the area, it was decided to build a space station in orbit Bellatrix IV. 86% of the planet is covered by a huge ocean and only 14% is made up of two large and countless small islands.
