Its nearest point is 30,000 light-years from Earth, but thanks to a Bavarian wormhole, it connects it directly to the Alpha Quadrant. Because no one owns the wormhole and all races are allowed to fly through, many races have begun to explore and settle, including the Ferengi, Klingons, Bajorans, Vulcans, and others.
Powers: The ruler of the Gamma Quadrant, or at least a large part of it, is considered to be a group of races known as the Dominion. All are subordinate to the Founders (changelings), the founders of the Dominion. Others include the Vorts, Jem'Hadar and Karemm warriors.
Apart from the Dominion, there are many others, such as the Argrathi, Dosi or Wadi.
