These vessels were in use with the Xindi from the 2140s through 2160s. Primarily combat vessels, they were capable of carrying out a variety of patrol and presence missions. They were equipped with a hangar bay capable of carrying small assault craft. Each vessel was also equipped with a hatchery to look after the eggs the crew laid whilst on a mission.
One of these vessels crash-landed in 2154 and was subsequently discovered by the NX-01. Captain Archer discovered that the crew had sacrificed themselves, diverting life support to the Hatchery maintanence systems so that their children could live on. Archer was exposed to a secretion from one of the eggs which temporarily affected his judgement, briefly necessitating his removal from command.
Several of these ships battled the NX-01 when it attempted to destroy the final version of the Xindi weapon at Azati Prime. The Starship was badly damaged in the exchange, but managed to remain in operable condition. The NX-01 subsequently battled the Insectoid ships again when they stole the Xindi weapon and attempted to take it to Earth. When the Insectoids began to doubt the validity of the mission to destroy Earth, the remaining Insectoid warship was destroyed by a Reptilian vessel
