The Borg were a pseudo-species of cybernetic humanoids or perfect robots, known from the Delta Quadrant as robots. Indeed, there was no individual in the Borg collective (with the possible exception of the Borg Queen), because all the Borg were connected to a beehive mind that connected them all and allowed information to be shared from each drone brought into the collective. Their ultimate goal was to achieve "perfection" through the violent assimilation of various sentient species, technologies, and knowledge that would be added and absorbed into the mind of the hive. As a result, the Borg were among the most powerful and feared entities in the galaxy, and they were not real species at all.
