Žena, ktorú Jean-Luc Picard stretne, nie je Laris, ale v skutočnosti Tallinn, supervízorka typu Gary Seven. Už 24 rokov dohliada na pilotku NASA Renée Picard. Renée Picard je len pár dní od toho, aby sa vydala na prelomovú misiu Europa na mesiace Jupitera. Ale psychiater v záznamoch sledovania v Tallinne sa jej to snaží vyhovoriť a dosvedčuje, že trpí úzkosťou. Picard spozná muža ako Q. Kým je Jurati v zámku, kráľovná Borg pošle tiesňové volanie francúzskej polícii. V Kalifornii Raffi a Seven zastavia autobus, ktorý vezie Rios do Mexika, omráčia príslušníkov bezpečnosti a oslobodia kapitána. Dr. Adam Soong je uznávaný genetik, ktorý sa podieľal na nelegálnych experimentoch. Napriek tomu to urobil, aby našiel liek pre svoju dcéru Kore, ktorá trpí genetickým defektom, ktorý by po opustení chráneného prostredia viedol k poškodeniu krvi a dýchacieho systému. Q prichádza k vedcovi s tým, že by mohol pomôcť jeho dcére výmenou za niečo, čo pre neho musí Soong urobiť. Kore vstrekne sérum a môže ísť prvýkrát von, ale efekt je len dočasný. Q hovorí Soongovi, že kvôli vyliečeniu chce, aby odstránil „prekážku“ menom Picard. Do zámku dorazí flic, ale nezbadá Juratiho, ktorý tam spí. Potom objaví La Sirena a zapletie sa do Borgskej kráľovnej. Jurati si zo zámku vezme zbraň a nemá inú možnosť, ako zastreliť kráľovnú. Raffi, Seven a Rios, ktorí sa vrátili z L.A., jej pomáhajú vyviesť von policajta, ktorý prežil a ktorému vymazala pamäť udalostí. Aby ochránili Renée, Picard, jeho posádka a Tallinn sa rozhodnú ísť na galavečer NASA, ktorého sa musí zúčastniť pred letom. Keďže podujatie má veľmi prísne bezpečnostné opatrenia, Jurati ide prvá, aby vložila poverenia svojho tímu do databázy. The woman that Jean-Luc Picard meets is not Laris but actually Tallinn, a Supervisor of the kind of Gary Seven. She has been watching over NASA pilot Renée Picard for 24 years. Renée Picard is just a couple of days away from going on the groundbreaking Europa Mission to the moons of Jupiter. But a psychiatrist in Tallinn's surveillance records strives to talk her out of it, attesting that she suffers from anxiety. Picard recognizes the man as Q. While Jurati is in the château, the Borg Queen sends an emergency call to the French police. In California, Raffi and Seven stop the bus that is taking Rios to Mexico, stun the security personnel and free the captain. Dr. Adam Soong is a renowned geneticist, who has been involved in illegal experiments. Yet, he did that to find a cure for his daughter Kore, who suffers from a genetic defect that would lead to damage to her blood and her respiratory system once she left her protected environment. Q approaches the scientist, saying he could help his daughter, in exchange for something Soong has to do for him. Kore injects the serum and can go outside for the first time, but the effect is only temporary. Q tells Soong that for the cure he wants him to remove an "obstacle" named Picard. A flic arrives at the château but doesn't spot Jurati, who is sleeping there. He then discovers La Sirena and gets entangled by the Borg Queen. Jurati takes a gun from the château and has no other choice but to shoot the Queen. Raffi, Seven and Rios, who have returned from L.A., help her take the policeman outside, who has survived and whose memory of the events she has erased. In order to protect Renée, Picard, his crew and Tallinn decide to go to the NASA gala that she has to attend before the flight. Since the event has very high security precautions, Jurati goes first, to enter her team's credentials into the database. She is arrested for behaving strangely and confined to the surveillance room, which is according to plan. However, it turns out that before her death the Borg Queen transferred part of her consciousness to Jurati's mind...
