Hviezdny dátum 47615.2: Zistilo sa, že kométa objavená Enterprise je archívom starovekej civilizácie D'Arsay. Čoskoro sa časti hviezdnej lode premenia na artefakty tejto kultúry. Program sa zameriava aj na Data a robí ho zosobnením rôznych ikonických postáv. Nakoniec Picard a ostatní vydedukujú, že Masaka, najobávanejšia postava, a jej prenasledovateľ Korgano majú podobný cyklus ako Slnko a Mesiac na Zemi. Keďže čas sa kráti a priame prepísanie nie je možné, Geordi konečne nájde transformačný program archívu práve včas, aby sa Picard mohol vydávať za Korgana a „vyhnať“ Masaku z jej chrámového trónu. Akonáhle je Masaka porazený, loď aj Data sa vrátia do normálu, bez celej spoločnosti postáv, ktoré boli v ňom.

Stardate 47615.2: A comet discovered by the Enterprise is found to be the archive of the ancient D'Arsay civilization. Soon parts of the starship are being converted to artifacts of this culture. The program also targets Data and makes him impersonate different iconic characters. Eventually, Picard and the others deduce that Masaka, the most feared character, and her pursuer, Korgano, share a cycle much like Earth's sun and moon. With time running out and direct override impossible, Geordi finally locates the archive's transformational program just in time for Picard to pose as Korgano and "chase" Masaka off her temple throne. Once Masaka is subdued, both the ship and Data return to normal, without the whole society of characters that were within him.
