Hviezdny dátum 5591.2: Enterprise sa vracia na planétu zábavného parku na dovolenku na pobreží. Zatiaľ čo si posádka užíva svoje fantázie, zrazu sa objaví srdcová kráľovná a jej strážcovia, ktorí prenasledujú McCoya kopijami. Keď sa Uhura pokúsi zachrániť McCoya, vznášajúci sa robot ju odnesie do podzemia planéty. Tam ju vypočúva centrálny počítač, ktorý vládne planéte od smrti Strážcu. Počítač tiež sabotuje Enterprise a ohrozuje životy všetkých na palube, mysliac si, že „otroci nebeského stroja“ sú bezcenní. Stardate 5591.2: The Enterprise returns to the Amusement Park Planet for a shore leave. While the crew are enjoying their fantasies, suddenly the Queen of Hearts and her guards appear, chasing McCoy with spears. When Uhura attempts to save McCoy, a hovering robot carries her to the planet's underground. There she is interrogated by the central computer that rules the planet since the Keeper's death. The computer also sabotages the Enterprise threatening the lives of everyone aboard, thinking that the "sky machine's slaves" are worthless. Kirk, however, can convince the computer that humans and machines may co-exist peacefully.
